While the cold weather continues to grip the UK and Ireland, there are still three cards to look forward to on Wednesday.

All three meetings will take place on the All-Weather, with Lingfield, Dundalk and Kempton hosting a total of 22 races.

Newbury’s seven-race jumps card was cancelled earlier in the week, but there is still some competitive flat racing to come.

Wednesday’s programme starts at Lingfield at 12:20, after the course passed an inspection at 07:30, and the going is listed as standard for the upcoming action.

Betfred’s “Free Bet if 2nd” promotion will be available in the second race of the day at 12:50, with customers able to earn a free bet of up to £10 if their selection comes second.

David O’Meara’s Beauzon (7/1) continues to drop through the weights, and another 2lb reduction may be the answer for connections over six furlongs.

Four places are up for grabs at 13:55, with our Extra Place promotion running in a handicap contest over one mile.

As long as Ruith Le Tu has recovered, the three-year-old may be the one to consider at 5/2 after finishing second over course and distance last time out.

Readers can also take advantage of our “Super Extra Place” promotion in the finale at Lingfield at 15:25.

Four places are available instead of three, and with that in mind, Sundayinmay is worth consideration at 9/2, especially with Hayley Turner’s mount winning twice at Lingfield in the past.

Thick fog curtailed Dundalk’s most recent card on Monday, but the conditions are said to be better for Wednesday’s eight-race card. The going is standard/slow for the opener at 13:40, which will be contested by nine after Morse’s withdrawal.

Three of the last four races at the Irish track will be covered by the “Extra Place” promotion, including the eighth and final contest at 17:15.

A field of 17 will compete in the DundalkStadium.com Handicap at 17:15, but it would be a surprise to see St Cianans Fire (5/4)out of the winner’s enclosure, with John C McConnell’s runner winning three in four.

The final meeting on Wednesday comes from Kempton, with track staff working around the clock to clear any snow that has fallen in the area.

Seven races are scheduled on standard ground, and those that want to follow the action can do so between 15:30 and 18:30.

A handicap race over seven furlongs starts proceedings, and a close battle is expected between Full Intention (15/8) and Wizarding (5/2), with both runners winning on their last outing.

Both contests at 18:00 and 18:30 are covered by Betfred’s “Extra Place” promotion, and Michael Appleby’s Starsong (9/1) will hope to give connections a run for their money at a reasonable price. The three-year-old is lightly raced for his new stable, and they will hope jockey Theodore Ladd can guide him to victory.
