Former Leeds United and England goal keeper Paul Robinson was in at Betfred TV on Monday afternoon, giving us his break down on the English heart breaking loss to France in the Quarter Finals. He also looked ahead to the semi-finals and gave us his predictions for the two massive matches and beyond. You can see the full video below

Paul Robinson’s World Cup Predictions

‘Robbo’ said England were a ‘hair’s breadth’ away from beating France in the quarter finals and would like to see Gareth Southgate continue in the managerial role. The former stopper said that the 52-year-old had earnt the right to choose his own future and would like him to have another pop at Euro 2024, which is just 18 months away.

Looking ahead to the midweek semi finals, Robinson thinks that the matches will go as the bookies predicted but had a longshot for us in the first semi between Argentina and Croatia. He expects Luca Modric & co to drag the tournament 2nd favourites into the latter stages of the match and into a penalty shootout. However, he’s backing Lionel Messi’s men to emerge victorious from the 12-yard spot.

To nobodies surprise at all, Robbo is picking France to qualify in 90 minutes against the story of the tournament, The Atlas Lions.

We have full previews and bet builders on site of both games if you want to read about the match-ups in more detail.
