The New England Patriots will look to keep their playoff hopes alive when they travel to the State Farm Stadium to face the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night.
The Patriots are bottom of the AFC East after their first 12 games, although they still have a 6-6 record, so one or two more wins may be enough to sneak into the playoffs.
On the other hand, the Cardinals are playing for pride, with Kliff Kingsbury’s side 4-8 and third in the NFC West.

Cornerback Jalen Mills and offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn have also been ruled out, while offensive tackles Trent Brown and Yodny Cajuste are listed as questionable.
Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore will sit out Monday’s match due to a groin issue, while cornerback Byron Murphy Jr has been ruled out due to a back injury.
Kingsbury is likely to give some of his fringe players a chance to impress as he tries to evaluate his team ahead of a potential rebuild in 2023.

While it is a little cliche, there is no easy game in the NFL, and the Cardinals dressing room will be desperate to prove a point this weekend.
They have lost two games on the spin, and if results go against them, they will find themselves bottom of the NFC West. That should be enough motivation for Kingsbury’s side, and they can improve their home record against an inconsistent Patriots side.
Belichick will likely get his team running the ball on a consistent basis, but they have shown vulnerabilities to mobile QBs, and Kyler Murray is one of the best when given space to manoeuvre.

The Cardinals may have a poor record on home soil, but they have not had it easy so far at the State Farm Stadium. Some of their defeats have come against the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers, all of whom are better than the Patriots.
Quarterback Mac Jones has also struggled on occasions, and without Meyers, it is hard to see where they score points. Arizona may not be destined for the playoffs, but they have what it takes to ensure the Patriots may not be either.
