The tournament has been held at various towns and cities around the UK, including Manchester, Barnsley, Crawley and Milton Keynes. The 2022 edition takes place at the Brentwood Centre, in Essex, between the 12th and 18th of December.
2021 defending champion Neil Robertson, returns back to defend his English Open crown.
Neil Robertson to win – 9/2
The 40-year-old reached the semi finals last week in Edinburgh and looked impressive in beating Mark Selby, Anthony McGill, Joe Perry and Himanshu Jain.
He ultimately lost out to an inspired Joe O’Connor in the semis but can go again this week.
The Australian has reached three semi-finals in the last five weeks and is clearly ready to win again.
Jack Lisowski each way (1/2 2 places) – 20/1
Lisowski looked superb in the recent UK Championship in reaching the semis before throwing away a two frame lead to eventual winner Mark Allen.
31-year-old Lisowski continued his good form last week, getting to the last 16 in the Scottish Open, before losing to Mark Selby.
