Golden State Warriors @ Utah Jazz – Warriors on the Money Line
After a couple of wins over the Chicago Bulls (119-111) and the Houston Rockets (120-101), the Golden State Warriors wrapped up a three-game homestand with a 112-104 defeat against the Indiana Pacers last time out.
That defeat means the Dubs are 10th in the Western Conference, with a record of 13-12. They travel to the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City to face the Jazz, but road trips haven’t been too kind to Steve Kerr’s side so far this season – they’ve only won twice away from Chase Center.
However, I’m expecting them to bounce back here against Utah – Steph Curry, despite his poor showing against Indiana, is having an MVP calibre season numbers-wise, so I think he will get the Dubs over the line here, and take full advantage of Utah’s defensive flaws.
Golden State haven’t lost two consecutive games since early November, while Utah has lost nine of their previous 13 games overall.
Indiana Pacers @ Minnesota Timberwolves – Timberwolves on the Money Line
The Pacers showed grit by taking down the Warriors without two or, if you factor in Chris Duarte, three starters on the floor in Monday’s game.
However, they are playing their third game in four nights here and I expect the fatigue factor to play a part, especially if Tyrese Haliburton doesn’t play.
That’s why I’m picking the Timberwolves to win this one. Minnesota is rested and they have some capable talent on the offensive end of the floor, even with Towns missing. They still have Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell and perhaps this is an opportunity to get Rudy Gobert involved on the offensive end of the floor, too.
Sacramento Kings @ Milwaukee Bucks – Bucks on the Money Line
The Kings are enjoying a steady season so far, currently sitting fourth in the Western Conference with a healthy record of 13-9.
Milwaukee, meanwhile, are starting to get hot again. They got off to the best start of any team in the NBA, going 9-0 through their first nine games, before enduring a cold stretch after that, losing five of their next eight games. They have been fantastic again since then, winning five of their last six contests.
The Bucks also have one of best defences in the NBA and have gone 11-3 at home this season, so I’m expecting them to pick up another victory here.
Los Angeles Clippers @ Orlando Magic – Clippers on the Money Line
The Orlando Magic are a fun team to watch, full of young and exciting players such as Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs. However, that doesn’t always equate to wins, and that’s been the story of the Magic’s season up until this point.
They currently sit bottom of the Eastern Conference with a record of 5-20, and they are simply too inexperienced to compete on a nightly basis.
The Clippers, meanwhile, are 6-4 in their past 10 games, and are sitting in sixth in the West. They’re beginning to get healthy again, and have one of the better defences in the NBA, so I’m expecting them to lock up Orlando’s youthful attack, and take the win here.
Charlotte Hornets @ Brooklyn Nets – Nets on the Money Line
The Brooklyn Nets are seem to be starting to click after a couple months of drama and spectacle.
They’re currently fifth in the East with a record of 13-12, and they’ve won seven of their last 10 games.
Meanwhile, the Hornets have lost two straight games and have fallen to 7-17 for the season. They sit 13th in the conference, and I’m expecting Brooklyn to win this one without any trouble.
