Ronnie O’Sullivan -2.5 hcp – 10/11

We start with the GOAT who is chasing his eighth UK Championship this week.

O’Sullivan cruised through his opening game against Matthew Stevens 6-2 and he’s had no difficulties in his previous match ups with Zhou Yuelong, winning all three with a combined 14-2 frame score.

Luca Brecel to win – 8/13

I tipped up Luca Brecel as an each-way outsider on the outright market and he completed a good 6-4 win over Haotian Lu in the first round. Here the Belgian faces veteran Tom Ford, who completed his own impressive win over John Higgins.

The two have played four times and have won 2 apiece but I think Brecel is on the up and will just edge this one.

Sam Craigie +1.5hcp – 8/11

England faces Wales in this domestic dust up and so far its 1-1 in the head-to-head between Sam Craigie and Ryan Day.

The 28-year-old Geordie knocked out the defending champion 6-2 in the opener, while Day recorded the same score against snooker legend Jimmy White.

I like the look of Craigie with a 1.5 frame start at 8/11.

Mark Allen to win – 5/6

The last game of the night is probably the best one of the day. Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen faces off against England’s Kyren Wilson for a place in the last eight.

Allen looked imperious when defending his Northern Ireland Open title in Belfast recently, whereas Wilson has been hit and miss in recent years. I’m taking the 36-year-old to win a closely fought affair here.
