After back-to-back defeats to Liverpool in the Premier League and Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup, Tottenham have the chance to bounce back when they host Leeds United on Saturday.
Leeds have been on a good run in the league after back-to-back wins, but points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium might be a bridge too far for the visitors.
Tottenham v Leeds Betting Tips
With three defeats in their last three Premier League games, Antonio Conte’s Spurs have dropped down to fourth in the table.
Spurs were also made to work hard in their last league win, as they came from two goals down to win 3-2 at Bournemouth.
Leeds, who are up to 12th, also pulled off a comeback against the Cherries with a 4-3 win in their last league game, which followed a memorable win at Anfield.
Tottenham are firm favourites at 4/7 to get back to winning ways this weekend, with the draw at 3/1 and a Leeds’ victory at 19/5.
Team news
After bringing off striker Harry Kane in the midweek defeat to Forest in the EFL Cup, Conte claimed the England striker has been dealing with fatigue.
The club’s leading goalscorer this season is likely to still start against Leeds, especially with his forward partner Heung-Min Son out with a fractured eye socket.
Spurs’ only other injury concern is Cristian Romero, who has missed the last five games and who will be aiming to return from his thigh injury when the Premier League season resumes after the World Cup on Boxing Day.
As for Leeds, striker Patrick Bamford is in contention to return after he picked up a minor hip injury in training.
Fellow forward Joe Gelhardt went down with an injury in Leeds’ 1-0 defeat to Wolves in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night and is unlikely to feature.
Mateo Joseph started for Leeds at Molineux and the academy forward could be handed a place on the bench for Saturday.
Stuart Dallas, Archie Gray and Adam Forshaw remain out on the sidelines until after the World Cup in Qatar.
Tottenham and over 2.5 goals – 5/4
Tottenham have won three of their four Premier League meetings with Leeds since the Yorkshire outfit’s return to the top-flight in 2020.
In all four games over 2.5 goals have been scored in what has tended to be a high-scoring fixture with plenty of chances at both ends.
Spurs should have the quality to get back to winning ways and a home win and over 2.5 goals is available at 5/4.
Crysencio Summerville anytime goalscorer – 13/5
A rising talent looking to score in his fourth successive Premier League game, Crysencio Summerville is making the most of his chance in the Leeds first team.
Having played a bit-part last season and at the start of the new campaign, the 21-year-old Dutchman has gone on to earn the trust of Whites’ boss Jesse Marsch.
Scoring winners against both Liverpool and Bournemouth, Summerville is 13/5 to find the back of the net anytime against Spurs this weekend.
