The World Cup is in sight and there are only two game weeks left until our thoughts shift to Qatar. There are some huge Premier League games to get stuck into at the weekend and none bigger than Spurs against Liverpool. We’ve previewed the game and given you our best bets.

Tottenham vs Liverpool Tips

Both sides come into this fixture on the back of superb wins in Europe in midweek. Spurs topped their Champions League group after a late comeback win over Marseille, while Liverpool ended Napoli’s amazing 13-game winning run, with a 2-0 win at Anfield.

Antonio Conte will be delighted with his side’s fortitude but will also be concerned by the way they are starting games, constantly going behind before having to turn it around.

The Italian is also without striker Son Heung-Min, who will miss a considerable amount of time, due to surgery on a fractured eye-socket. Son joins Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison on the injury list and leaves Conte with limited attacking options. He will be praying for the impending World Cup to arrive.

Red boss Jürgen Klopp put a difficult few weeks behind him with the win over the Italian league leaders. Back-to-back losses to Nottingham Forest and Leeds left many questioning whether his time in Merseyside was coming to an end but his agent and the team’s response, soon put short shrift to that happening.

Team news:

Lucas Moura is expected to lead the line with Harry Kane here in a 3-5-2 for Spurs as the only two fit strikers.

James Milner will be assessed after a concussion protocol injury and may miss out on Sunday. Luis Diaz, Joel Matip, Arthur, Naby Keita and Diogo Jota are all still unavailable to Klopp.

Football Betting Odds

Liverpool to win – 11/10
Liverpool have been through a bad patch but I think they might have come out of the other side with the superb win over Napoli. Combine that with an injury hit Spurs and I am forecasting a Liverpool win. The Reds have won three of their last four trips to north London and are unbeaten against Spurs in their last ten matches.

Mo Salah first goal scorer – 4/1

Another man who looks to have his mojo back is Mohamed Salah. After a bit of a mini drought, the Egyptian has seven goals in his last seven and three in his last three. He also looks to be starting to knit extremely nicely with big Uruguayan Darwin Nunez.

Remember, thanks to our Double Delight/Hat Trick Heaven offer, if Salah scores first and then goes on to score again, Betfred will double the odds. Score a hat trick and it’s treble the odds.
