IACGMOOH returns next week and we’ve taken a good look at the screaming celebs who will be entertaining us on those long, dark and cold winter nights.

As my dear old Gramma used to say: “Jungle is back on…”.

Why do people carry on watching this drivel? Well, if you keep watching it, ITV will keep on making it!

This is the 22nd series of the much-loved British institution ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’, which shows no signs of losing its popularity.

Those lovable scamps Ant and Dec are back for a nightly helping of critters, fish guts and boiled kangaroo phalli. Not to mention the warring celebrities.

Apparently the cast this year are the richest ever, worth a combined £76m, so could find it extra difficult to have their home comforts taken away.

Ok, let’s fire up the water cannons, dig up Kiosk Kev and meet the famous faces we’ll spend our winter with.

Who are the competing celebrities?

Mike Tindall – 10/3

Actual royalty in the Jungle! Well, kind of.

Mr Zara Phillips enters the jungle, with his wife still 18th in line to the throne, so could we see a potential King of England become King of the Jungle?

Tindall was famous in his own right back in the day, of course. A hugely successful Rugby Union player, 44-year-old Tindall played for Bath and Gloucester and was part of the English 2003 World Cup winning side.

Apparently, upon hearing of Tindall’s involvement, King Charles III was said to be ‘disapproving’ of the move.  Bang goes Xmas dinner at the palace Mike…

Olivia Attwood – 10/3

Reality star Olivia Attwood made her name on Love Island and later became a regular member on TOWIE. The 31-year-old is engaged to Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack and has spoken of how much she’s going to struggle without sex for four weeks.

Attwood has previously made no secret of how much she’d like to do the jungle and she should be in her natural element here amongst celebs and the cameras.

Boy George – 4/1

“I’m a maaaaaan, without conviction…”. Well, we’re convinced that George Alan O’Dowd will be a frontrunner this year.

Boy George has been a famous face in the UK for over four decades now, since breaking through as the lead singer of pop band ‘Culture Club’ in the 1980’s. He’s also had a long solo career, as well as becoming a producer, fashion designer and DJ.

The 61-year-old is apparently being paid a record fee of £500,000 to appear on the show, so the show runners will be hoping he makes the show ‘unmissable’ viewing.

Jill Scott – 5/1

Jill Scott MBE is part of the Lionesses squad that won the Women’s Euros this summer. Shortly after Scott and Ellen White announced their retirement from the game and the 35-year-old is the second most capped player in the history of the national side.

The former midfielder won multiple player of the year awards during her career and since her retirement is back working at her coffee shop in Manchester.

Chris Moyles – 10/1

Annoying loud-mouthed Leeds fan and radio DJ Chris Moyles is one of the leading runners to win the reality show.

48-year-old Moyles was the self-proclaimed saviour of Radio 1, when he took over the breakfast show in 1998. Since then he’s presented on various channels as well as on several television programmes.

The Yorkshireman has been involved in multiple controversies over the years, including tax avoidance, swearing live on air and accusations of homophobia and isn’t known for holding his tongue, so don’t be surprised if he ends up rowing with someone over rice and beans.

Babatunde Aleshe  – 10/1

Actor, comedian and writer, Babatunde Aleshe is a man of many talents. The 34-year old has starred on Eastenders, Celebrity Gogglebox as well winning Best Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards. Aleshe has been married to his Jamaican wife Leonie since 2015.

Owen Warner – 18/1

Hollyoaks heart throb Owen Warner is sure to be a big hit with viewers, as he takes his daily jungle shower.

The 23-year-old plays Romeo Nightingale in the show and while you are gawping at his 8-pack, Hollyoaks bosses have cleverly included him in one of their biggest storylines in years to maximise his increased popularity.

Warner arrived in Brisbane recently and announced he was looking for ‘jungle romance’.  I’m sure you won’t have to look far for suitors Owen…

Seann Walsh – 16/1

Lets hope this reality show goes better for comedian Seann Walsh than his last attempt. Walsh had to leave ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ back in 2018 after he was pictured kissing his dance partner Katya Adams. The incident led to the breakup of both of their marriages and Walsh has spoken about the experience since in his stand up shows.

The 36-year-old Cockney has stated he suffered depression and anxiety following the media frenzy, so expect some emotional chats around the camp fire here.

Matt Hancock – 25/1

The former Health Secretary, who led the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and was eventually sacked for having an affair with a member of his staff, has been leaked as the 12th member of the jungle camp.

The disgraced minister has already had the Tory Party whip removed and has been installed as a 25/1 shot. I wouldn’t back it with all the PPE money he wasted. It will be fun to see him eating sheep testicle though.

Sue Cleaver – 28/1

Sue Cleaver is an actress best known for playing the long role of Eileen Grimshaw on Coronation Street.  Her other famous roll was in Victoria Wood comedy ‘Dinner Ladies’. The 59-year-old has had several health issues in the past including IBS and sepsis, so hopefully manages on the limited diet in the Australian outback.

Scarlett Douglas – 40/1

Douglas is primarily famous as a TV presenter and property expert having appeared on ‘A Place in the Sun’ and ‘Flipping Fast’. She’s also been on ‘The One Show’ and ‘Jeremy Vine’ over the last few years.

The 35-year-old has a musical theatre background and recently split from her partner. She’s hinted that she may be looking for romance in the Jungle, stating:

‘I just like a good, honest, trustworthy man. That is it but I do hear there might be someone in the jungle that has got a good set of muscles on him so if I were to head to the Jungle I would like to see a muscly guy yeah – see if there is a Tarzan out there,’

Now who could she be referring to?

Charlene White – 50/1

Last but not least, we have Newsreader and presenter Charlene White. The 42-year-old became the first black women to present ITV News at Ten back in 2014 and has been a regular presenter of ‘Loose Women’ since 2020.

White has stated she is comfortable in her own skin but has faced numerous online body-shaming trolls online.

Which of these celebs will be crowned King/Queen of the jungle? Well you’ll just have to watch to find out, won’t you? Now pass me that cockroach smoothie and the remote control.
