There’s plenty of action to pick from on Thursday with the Europa League and Europa Conference League taking place and we’ve selected four games to make up our BTTS acca.

  • Real Betis vs AS Roma – BTTS – Yes at 8/11
  • Feyenoord vs FC Midtjylland – BTTS – Yes at 4/7
  • Fiorentina vs Hearts – BTTS – No at 4/9
  • Shamrock Rovers vs Molde – BTTS – No at Evens

Let’s start in the Europa League with a mouthwatering clash between Real Betis and AS Roma in Group C.

Betis are in the driving seat, sitting five points clear of second-placed Ludogorets and six ahead of Roma in third after they beat the latter 2-1 in Rome last week.

A fourth successive win will see Betis secure a spot in the round of 32, but it’s not likely to be an easy task even if they are back on home soil.

Roma are seeking a response and need a victory to boost their hopes of avoiding a premature exit. Their desire to get a win could lead to an open and attacking game, which should subsequently see the goals fly in at both ends.

Betis have scored at least two goals in each of their three outings in the competition, with Roma scoring at least one in all of their engagements.

Just goal difference separates first from fourth in Group F of the Europa League, with all four clubs sitting on four points after three fixtures.

Our focus is on the clash between table-toppers Feyenoord and second-placed Midtjylland. The pair played out a 2-2 draw when they squared off in Denmark last week and there’s every reason to believe goals will be on the agenda once again.

Feyenoord are the top scorers in the competition, registering 10 times, while Midtjylland are joint-second for most scored with seven to their name. They also have just one clean sheet between them across their six combined outings so far.

To the Europa Conference League now. Fiorentina picked up their first win of the group stage at the expense of Hearts last week, winning 3-0 at Tynecastle and they are seeking a second successive victory over the Scots back on home soil.

La Viola lost 4-0 when Lazio visited in Serie A on Monday, but they tend to be tough to beat at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

That is their only loss at home since April across all competitions and they’ve picked up four clean sheets during that sequence. Hearts mustered just four shots when hosting Fiorentina and could struggle to improve on that tally when they head to Italy.

The fourth and final leg of our BTTS acca takes place at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin when Shamrock Rovers host Molde.

The feeling here is that Molde should earn a victory to nil, so we’re going with BTTS – No. Shamrock are making just their second-ever appearance in the group stage of a European competition and they look out of their depth.

The Irish outfit have failed to score a single goal and they didn’t register a single shot on target when losing 3-0 to Molde in Norway last week.
