There are only five Premier League games planned for Saturday afternoon, but Brighton’s clash with Tottenham could make up for the lack of fixtures as both teams try to keep hold of their places in the top four.

We have previewed the clash between third-placed Spurs and fourth-placed Albion and provided readers with two tips.

Brighton vs Tottenham Betting Tips

  • Brighton double chance – 1/2
  • #PickYourPunt: Leandro Trossard and Harry Kane to score @ 11/2

When Graham Potter decided to join Chelsea last month, you could forgive Brighton fans for thinking the worst.

The former Swansea City boss had guided the Seagulls into the top four after a stunning start to the season, and it looked like the fairytale period was well and truly over.

That was until the Seagulls went toe-to-toe with Liverpool last weekend as they secured a 3-3 draw at Anfield.

After storming into the lead, Roberto De Zerbi’s men will have been disappointed to share the points, but it proves the level that Brighton are now competing at.

The Seagulls are 7/4 to win all three points on Saturday evening, while the draw is 5/2.

Spurs are 13/8 to win when they visit the Amex Stadium, and Antonio Conte’s men will need to bounce back after their poor performance during their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby last time out.

They were then unable to find a way past Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League, settling for a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Team news

De Zerbi will be unable to call upon the services of Jakub Moder, with the midfielder still nursing a long-term knee injury. Fellow midfielder Enock Mwepu remains a doubt due to illness, and he will need to pass a late fitness test to feature.

The Seagulls do not have any further injury woes beyond the pair, and De Zerbi will just need to decide if he wants to tinker with his starting XI.

Danny Welbeck is set to lead the line once again after a fine display against the Reds, while Leandro Trossard, Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo will support him from midfield.

Tottenham boss Conte is without Japhet Tanganga, Lucas Moura and Dejan Kulusevski due to injury, while Emerson Royal is suspended after he picked up a red card in the North London derby.

Football Betting Odds

Brighton double chance – 1/2

Brighton have proven to be a tough nut to crack of late, losing only one of their matches this season. That defeat came on the road against Fulham, while at home, they have won back-to-back games against Leeds United and Leicester.

They have also won two of their previous three Premier League matches against Tottenham. Brighton are unbeaten in their last seven on home soil and have every chance of extending that record.

#PickYourPunt: Leandro Trossard and Harry Kane to score @ 11/2

It was hard to pick between Trossard and Kane this week, but thanks to Betfred’s #PickYourPunt section, punters can back both to score on Saturday.

Trossard has netted five goals in seven Premier League games, including a hat-trick against Liverpool. Kane became the first-ever player to score 100 away goals in the Premier League last week against Arsenal, and he has five in seven against the Seagulls.

Three of those came in his last four appearances at the Amex Stadium, and both players have what it takes to find the net this weekend.
