Tuesday’s football is dominated by the Champions League but we have a fourfold Acca priced up at just over 11/1 at the time of writing based on domestic action. Read on for our views…

Bristol City to beat Coventry City at 6/5

Luton Town to beat Huddersfield Town at 17/20

Sheffield United vs QPR – BTTS – Yes at 4/5

Plymouth Argyle vs Sheffield Wednesday – BTTS – Yes at 4/6

Bristol City may have lost three straight and Coventry put up their first three-point haul of the campaign when they dispatched fellow relegation struggles Middlesbrough at the weekend but they are still bottom of the table. Anytime you get a decent team at home to the team languishing at the foot of the table at odds against then you really should be thinking about putting them in your acca. This is one of those selections but comes down solely to price as you would not expect the home side to be as long as 6/5. A pure value play.

Another selection based on league position comes up next where Huddersfield travel to Luton. The Terriers have had a dramatic start to the season with manager departures but Mark Fotheringham is now in place but defeat to Reading in his first game as in inauspicious start. Luton are middle-of-the-table and are not firing on all cylinders in front of their own fans. Just one win from six is a concern but the away side have yet to take a point from their travels. You have to think it is only a matter of time before the Hatters start producing at home.

Top-of-the-table Sheffield United have a tricky tie with QPR on Tuesday night and that is why I’m plumbing for BTTS rather than looking at the result market. A 1-1 draw last time out against Birmingham City was a bit disappointing and these two are the 2nd and 3rd most in-form sides in the division over the past six games. Michael Beale is doing a fantastic job in his first season at Loftus Road and they’ve hit the back of the net in four of their five league games on the road.

Last up the top-of-the-table clash down at Home Park where Sheffield Wednesday are the visitors. League 1 has seen plenty of big games over the past couple of weeks and goals have been flying in all over the shop. Both teams score plenty and are not exactly watertight at the back. I like BTTS a lot here.
