Newmarket’s first race soon follows, with the first of seven races starting at 13:31. The going at HQ is listed as good to soft for Saturday’s card, and it promises to be a fascinating day of racing.

The Group 1 Royal Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes goes off at 14:42, and Dermot Weld’s Homeless Songs (9/4) will hope to overcome Jane Chapple-Hyam’s Saffron Beach (6/4) over one mile.

Newmarket’s card concludes at 17:03, while Redcar’s meeting will run from 13:36 until 17:37, with the going good to soft (soft in places). Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion will cover four contests in North Yorkshire, with punters able to take advantage of the offer at 15:21, 15:57, 16:32 and 17:37.

While Rohaan (3/1) remains at the front of the market, Michael Dods will feel either of his runners, Commanche Falls (9/2) and Gale Force Maya (14/1), could spring a surprise in a contest that Betfred will pay out on four places thanks to their ‘Extra Place’ promotion.

Wolverhampton’s eight-race evening meeting gets underway at 17:00, and the going is standard on the Allweather, with the card due to conclude with a handicap race at 20:30.

There are 15 races to come from Ireland as Gowran Park and Killarney host cards on Saturday.

From 13:45-17:42, Gowran Park will host eight races on yielding ground, while there will be seven contests from Killarney between 13:55 and 17:25, where the going is good (good to yielding in places).
