There are eight race meetings across the US and Canada on Friday, with a busy schedule of action to welcome in the weekend.
Belmont At The Big A, Golden Gate Fields, Gulfstream, Hawthorne, Laurel Park, Remington Park, Santa Anita, and Woodbine are the host courses with a grand total of 70 races to look forward to.
The first action comes from Gulfstream which plays host to a nine-race card between 17:25-21:30 before the action turns to Laurel Park for nine races between 17:40-21:48.
The 18:08 Maiden Claiming from Laurel Park is one of several races through the day where Betfred is offering its ‘Extra Place’ promotion, meaning three places are being paid instead of two – one to watch in this race will be Read The Spec (10/11) who made an encouraging racecourse debut last month.
Next up is Belmont At The Big A where nine races are to run from 18:00-22:13 before a trip to Canada comes next with Woodbine also hosting nine races between 18:10-22:21.
The 19:08 Starter Optional Claiming from Woodbine is another of Betfred’s promotional races and the horse to beat should be eight-time winner Epilogue (13/8) although Society Joe (3/1) is in good form and won on his latest outing at the Canadian track.
Later in the evening, there is an eight-race card at Hawthorne between 20:53-23:59 before the day’s action heads to Santa Anita for nine races between 21:00-01:01.
Golden Gate Fields is the penultimate meeting of the day with eight races scheduled there between 21:45-01:16, and the 22:16 at the California track is another where punters can win from three places.
Remington Park will then conclude the day’s action with nine races between 01:07-04:51.
