The hosts lead the series for the first time after another nail biting win in Lahore on Wednesday. Friday is the 6th T20 and England need to win here to keep the series alive. We’ve sent our own cricket specialist, Adam Roberts, into action to preview this one and provide us with his best two bets.

Pakistan vs England 6th T20 Tips

Moeen Ali’s heroics couldn’t prevent the tourists falling to another narrow defeat in their run chase for the second T20 running. England’s stand in skipper hit an inspired 51* off just 37 balls but some superb death bowling by newcomer Aamer Jamal on debut was enough to give Pakistan a 3-2 lead heading into Friday’s contest in Lahore.

The hosts looked doomed when skittling to 145 all out – again Mohammad Rizwan was their only batter who looked capable of scoring runs and staying at the crease, scoring a controlled and classy 63 off 46 balls. Mark Wood was again the main wrecking ball, bowling with aggression and spite and taking 3-20 off his four overs.

Cricket Betting Odds

Team news:

Pakistan will likely stay unchanged and Aamer Jamal should keep his place after his heroics in the fifth T20I.

Possible Pakistan XI: Mohammad Rizwan(wk), Babar Azam(c), Shan Masood, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Aamer Jamal, Mohammad Wasim, Haris Rauf

With so much on the line, it’s likely that Mark Wood will be risked despite his recent injury issues. England may change up the top order once again, in an effort to find a line up that works.

Possible England XI: Salt, Jacks, Malan, Duckett, Brook, Moeen, S Curran, Woakes, Rashid, M Wood, Topley

Highest opening partnership Pakistan – 8/11

All of Pakistan’s strength in their batting line up is at the top of the order, while England has relied way more on the likes of Duckett, Brook and Ali. Rizwan and Babar have been Mr Reliable in this series and this bet has won four out of the five T20’s to date. With that in mind the 8/11 looks more than value.

Mark Wood top England bowler – 4/1

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Wood has played two T20’s in the series and has been England’s best bowler in both. The Durham pacer looks to have the wood (sorry…) on several of the Pakistani batters including the captain Azam. If he is risked here, and it’s a big if with the impending World Cup on the horizon, the 4/1 is the same price that landed last time out and is huge value.
