The Monday Night Football comes from the Meadowlands as the 1-1 Dallas Cowboys travel to New Jersey to take on the surprisingly undefeated New York Football Giants. We take a look at the key lines plus a prop play in the anytime TD scorer market…

It has been a while since the Giants were knocking on the door of being 3-0 but they have every chance of doing such come Monday night. Daniel Jones is still well…Daniel Jones but an opening day glimpse of Saquon Barkley looking much more like his old self will bring joy to fans of the G-Men. The former Penn State standout rushed for 164 against the Titans and looked to have that burst that had been missing. The Panthers kept him down to 72 yards last week but there were still positive signs.

If you want more positive signs then the Giants defense look legitimately good. Any team that can keep Derrick Henry to under four yards a carry have something about them. Last week they only gave up one TD and forced Carolina into three Field Goals.

Dallas make their way into MetLife without Dak Prescott who has a thumb injury. Cooper Rush will make his second start having led them to an impressive win over the reigning AFC Champion Bengals last week. The former Central Michigan Chippewas starting QB had a good connection with Noah Brown and expect that to continue with him becoming the number two target behind CeeDee Lamb.

On D, it is Micah Parsons’ world and we are just living in it. I was fortunate enough to watch every single play he made at the collegiate level and I don’t think I’ve seen a more natural push rusher. His initial burst is frightening and the battle between him and another former great Nittany Lion is Barkley will be fascinating to watch.

NFL Betting Odds

Bet on New York at 5/6 on the Moneyline

Bet New York -1.5pts on the spread at 10/11

Bet the over 38.5 on the points line at 20/23

It feels all sorts of wrong bet money on the Giants but I do believe in their defensive prowess and think they have just enough offense to win by more than the spread number as well. These two teams are proper rivals so I expect it to be tight and the FG kickers will be key.

Even though I really like both teams on defense, that 38.5 number is low. I wouldn’t even be shocked if either D scored a TD to add points on to the board. I have it 23-20 Giants.

Prop Bet:

If you like a Prop Bet then Tony Pollard to score anytime at 12/5 grabs my attention. He’s arguably a better RB then Zeke these days plus he’s great at receiving passing in the flat. 12/5 is an implied odds of 29.4% and that seems low. I like this play.
