Hallelujah. Always wanted to start a piece like that. Anyhow – on Thursday last in week 3’s opener we nailed the ‘over’ in the Browns/Steelers clash. It had to happen. Ish.

There’s a raft of matches today of course, including one we previewed the other day – and I’m going to include that at the end. In the meantime, let’s see if we can’t find a little treble with which to go to war with.

The NFL is awash with skinny money-line prices every week – that’s the odds for an outright win. No handicap or other tricks – just a straight-up victory.

Think Liverpool v almost anyone at Anfield – typically they’ll be, say, 2s-on (1-2) or even skinnier. Doesn’t automatically mean triumph is assured of course, but you get my drift. I’m looking for 3 selections his week that apart won’t make a significant contribution to the night-out fund, but together can maybe sort out the chips on the way home.

First up, Soldier Field – one of world sport’s most iconic venues. Chicago Bears, @ 8/13, to beat the Houston Texans. Fancy them to nick a low-scoring affair, at home.

Then how about the Minnesota Vikings, 2/5, at home to Detroit? Finally, let’s play the New Orleans Saints, 10/13, at Carolina. If my maths are anything like (?), that a potential 3/1 treble – so a total return of £20 for a fiver spent, for example, should we be lucky enough to pull it off.

So, our suggested money line (straight win) treble – Bears @ 8/13, Vikings 2/5, and Saints @ 10/13.

Now for that promised revisit of one of the season’s stunners-in-waiting so far, no doubt about that.

Sunday, 6pm, at The Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The high-flying Miami Dolphins entertain would-be SB heroes the Buffalo Bills for what should be an absolute belter.

For the home team, QB Tua Tagovailoa had a day and then some last week in that astonishing comeback against the Ravens. He threw for 469 yards (!!), 6 TDs, and just to add to the excitement, 2 interceptions.

Receiving superstar Tyreek Hill, surprisingly prised from Kansas, was found on 11 occasions, for a total of 190 yards. Baltimore arguably melted, but Miami certainly brought the heat.

The Bills are similarly 2-and-0, and their own offensive superstars are functioning beautifully too. Both inhabit the AFC of course, but while Buffalo are just 2/1 for ultimate Conference glory, you can get 10/1 about Miami. The Bills therefore are warm money line favs here on Sunday at around 2/5, with the Dolphins trading at 2/1.

The total stands at 53.5. Rarely has a figure looked to be in such potential jeopardy (famous last words)! I can’t see Buffalo capitulating as Baltimore did last weekend however, and I can see Buffalo having some joy, as did the Ravens, initially.

It’s Bills -6.5 on the spread, a TD basically, and I can see them being an endzone visit ahead or better at the death.

How they handle Hill will be key – as will how they limit a scampering Tua extending plays. Bills’ have their own virtuoso under centre in Allen, and he’s a massive multiple threat too.

What a match in prospect, frankly, and I can’t wait. The recommendation is under 53.5 @ 10/11 in the hope that Buffalo’s D can contain Cheetah and company, with Buffalo covering that -6.5 spread @ 10/11.

Have a lovely day of NFL action, and above all else, as always, take care.
