The final day of Newmarket’s Cambridgeshire Meeting takes centre stage on a busy Saturday of racing across the UK and Ireland, with a total of eight meetings on the agenda.
All eyes will be on Headquarters for a seven-race card from 13:50-17:25 which is highlighted by the Cambridgeshire Handicap at 15:40, as well as a pair of Groups 1, the Cheveley Park Stakes at 14:25 and the Middle Park Stakes at 15:00.
The feature race at 15:40 also benefits from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ offer, with the William Haggas-trained Mujtaba (5/1) appearing the one to beat off the back of his success at Doncaster’s St Leger Festival earlier this month.
Away from Newmarket, the day’s action gets under way across the Irish Sea at the Curragh where they go to post eight times from 13:05-17:05.
Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion is available for the final four races of the day from the Curragh at 15:20, 15:55, 16:30 and 17:05 – the former is a race where Bossy Parker (16/1) could score for the third time in a row, although Hiawatha (4/1) is a recent C&D winner.
The second meeting of the day in Ireland is Listowel’s offering from 13:20-17:28, with five of the eight races taking place in County Kerry benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion.
Back on British soil, Ripon hosts eight races from 13:25-17:33, while Haydock’s seven-race card starts off at 13:30, before reaching a conclusion at 17:00.
The finale from the Merseyside track is another race which sees Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer come into play and the David O’Meara-trained Animato (7/2) could well prove the pick of the bunch in that one.
They go to post eight times at Chester from 13:40-17:40 as the afternoon action continues, while Market Rasen stages seven races between 13:43-17:15, with the 16:05 proving another to benefit from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion.
The sole evening meeting of the day is the eight-race offering from Chelmsford from 17:03-20:30, with the 17:35 and 18:04 both benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer, while the ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion will come into play for the 20:00.
