Plasterer Clarence Sinclair has barely had time to spend his first lot of winnings before doing it all over again just three weeks later!

Last month, the father-of-one from London won £65,000 at Betfred from two bets totalling £4 on the 49s numbers game – and vowed to buy his wife a brand new Mercedes.

Three weeks later, using virtually the same numbers, he’s done it again – except this time he pocketed £75,000 after wagering a total of £20 on seven bets.

“I just can’t believe it, it’s left us both speechless,” said the 62-year-old, who runs his own company Sinclair Plastering which also does painting and tiling work in South London.

He added: “I’m probably going to give my daughter some more money to go towards a deposit on a new house, and we really don’t know what we’re going to do with the rest.

“One thing I’m not going to do is go on holiday abroad with all those hassles at the airport, and Scotland is too far – so it could be a nice break in Cornwall or somewhere more local.

“It’s strange how virtually the same numbers have come up, not just twice in three weeks but four times this year. The other two I only had a pound on, but I’m definitely sticking with my numbers 6, 11, 22 and 33.

“I visit the shop on London Road in Norbury every morning, put my bet on and then check the numbers in the afternoon.

“The girl in the shop said I could afford to retire early at this rate because I’ve won so much form Betfred, but I need to work to keep myself occupied.”

Betfred boss Fred Done said: “Like Clarence, I’m absolutely speechless after he’s picked my pocket to the tune of £140,000 from such small stakes.

“It’s astonishing that one of our customers should win with the same numbers twice in three weeks.

“Good luck to Clarence, who is clearly a hard-working fella that deserves this good fortune.”
