Paul Robinson and Robert Earnshaw were in agreement on The Betfred Football Show about the results of two eagerly-awaited Premier League fixtures this weekend.

Former Leeds and Spurs keeper Robinson reckons it can’t get much better for the players at Elland Road and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what is already turning out to be a fascinating Premier League season.

He predicts a 1-1 draw when Leeds visit Brighton on Saturday, while ex-Welsh international Earnshaw also believes it will be a draw… but 2-2.

Earnshaw said Brighton have added goals to their possession-based football and predicts a “very interesting game between two super-confident teams.”

Turning to the Nottingham Forest-Spurs clash on Sunday, they both predicted an away win, with ex-Forest striker Earnshaw reckoning it will be 2-1 while Robinson opted for 3-1.

Earnshaw said he believes his former club, who have signed 16 players, may have bought “two or three too many”.

He said that it was recognised at the club that they were below Premier League quality after getting promoted – and Earnshaw picked out on-loan keeper Dean Henderson, from Manchester United, as being exceptional.

He added that Jesse Lingard, another recruit from Old Trafford, has not been in good form but predicts the goals will come.

On Spurs, Robinson hailed manager Antonio Conte who has added an edge to the North London side this season.
