Brickie Jack Taylor has built up his pension pot thanks to a big win at Betfred
The self-employed bricklayer from Stockport, Greater Manchester, won £32,000 from a £4 bet on the Irish Lotto.
His numbers 11, 17, 38 and 41 were chosen at random – and now, after they were all drawn out, he jokes he’ll be able to afford his gas and electricity bill!
Jack, a father-of-three who has worked on building sites since he was a teenager, has been planning his retirement, and this win has come at just the right time.
He said: “It’s great that this money, which I will no doubt need when I retire, has come in at this time.
“I’m off on a little holiday to Porthmadog in a B&B next month, and I certainly have more spends than usual.”
The lucky winner, who visits his local Betfred shop on Fiveways Parade, Hazel Grove, added: “I’ll be stopping work soon, and this money will come in handy the way gas and electricity bills are heading!”
Betfred boss Fred Done said: “It’s marvelous that this hard-working fella has won so much from such a small stake.
“Great timing from Jack, who I hope has a happy and fruitful retirement when that day comes.”
