Adam Scott (55/1 – BMW Championship Outright) believes his game is in the right place to shine at this week’s BMW Championship as he eyes qualification for the season’s finale, the Tour Championship.

The Australian heads to Delaware currently 45th in the FedEx Cup standings after an encouraging T5 at last week’s St Jude Championship in Memphis.

Only the top 30 qualify for the Tour Championship and he’ll be looking to produce form similar to the closing 66 that propelled his fine finish in Tennessee.

Last week’s result secured his fourth top-10 of the season and more of the same might be enough to seal Scott’s place for the East Lake finale.

Rory McIlroy, who won this event in 2012, is 10/1 to triumph again, with 2020 hero Jon Rahm available at 12/1.

Defending champion Patrick Cantlay is 14/1, while Will Zalatoris is 16/1 to back up his win at the St Jude.

Scott’s last PGA Tour win came at the Genesis Invitational in February 2020. However, despite his drought, the Australian says he is enjoying his golf and believes his form is trending nicely ahead of Thursday’s opening round in Wilmington Country Club.

“What’s satisfying, my golf’s been pretty good and I’ve got nothing out of it. Even though I’m not winning, I feel like I’m getting something out of the week,” he said.

“So hopefully that’s good for the confidence and somehow I have a big week and get through to East Lake.”
