The midweek UK racing comes from Salisbury, Yarmouth, Beverley, Ffos Las and Kempton, while there’s also Irish action at Gowran Park on Wednesday 10th August.

Salisbury is the first meeting to get under way at 13:30 and there are six races there until the finale at 16:00.

The Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Upavon Fillies’ Stakes, due off at 15:30, features seven runners, including Climate (11/8), who was an impressive fourth in a Newmarket Group 3 when reappearing in May.

On her debut for John and Thady Gosden today and with star jockey Frankie Dettori on board, this looks like a real opportunity when back down in trip for Climate to seal victory.

At Yarmouth they start at 13:50 and the last race of six is due off at 16:40, while the seven-race meeting at Beverley begins at 14:10 and finishes up after the 17:10.

Ffos Las’ card is under way at 16:55 and the seventh and final race there is set for 20:20. The third race from Ffos Las at 18:05 has been designated as one of Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ contests, and in it Chifa (3/1) will look for a repeat after winning here in July.

Ed Giles’ charge was also a creditable second of seven at Chepstow last month so should be in the mix this evening.

Kempton’s seven-race card starts at 17:05 and in the fifth contest at 19:25, Betfred are paying out on four places as part of their ‘Super Extra Place’ promotion.

This race sees the return of Huddleton Mac (9/2) after a 280-day absence, who was last seen when finishing second of nine in a handicap at this C&D. A repeat of that form would mean he’s a real danger to his nine rivals.

The Irish action, meanwhile, at Gowran Park gets under way at 16:20 and the last of eight races is scheduled for 20:10.
