There is plenty of racing action to get stuck into across the UK and Ireland on Sunday 7th August with meetings from Haydock, Leicester, Windsor and Downpatrick.

Leicester’s seven-race card is first up on the agenda, the action running from 13:50 until 16:52, and there is an extra place to take advantage of in the 6f Handicap at 15:20.

Dora Penny scored for David Evans last time out and is 4/1 to repeat that trick in the 15:20, although stiff competition is expected from the likes of Stromboli (5/1) and Misscall (3/1).

It’s off to Windsor next for a six-race offering (14:10-16:40) and there are extra places being paid out in the 15:10 and the finale, while the 15:40 is Betfred’s Super Extra Place Race.

Rhubarb heads into the 15:40 looking for a fourth consecutive victory for trainer Richard Price and is 2/1 to achieve this feat, while Love Trophy Power is 7/4 to chalk up a third win from the last four starts.

The attention turns to Ireland for the penultimate meet of the day, a seven-race card from Downpatrick (14:30-17:30) where the 15:30 will benefit from Betfred’s extra place promotion.

Last, but by no means least, the action is brought to a close with Haydock’s promotion-filled, seven-race card that begins at 15:45 and finishes with the 18:45.

Extra places are being paid out in the opener, the 16:45, 17:15, 18:15 and the finale, while the 16:15 is covered by the ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion.

Roger Varian’s Charyn is 3/1 to claim the spoils in the 16:15, while the likes of Road To The East (4/1) and the Hollie Doyle-ridden Kitai (4/1) are expected to put in strong challenges for glory.
