Monday sees a quiet start to the week for US and Canadian horse racing, but there is still plenty to go at for Betfred punters looking across the Atlantic.
There are four meetings, with Finger Lakes, Fort Erie, Mountaineer and Thistledown the host venues and a total of 33 races to look forward to.
The day’s action begins at Thistledown, where eight races are taking place between 17:50-21:20.
The 19:20 Claiming is an “Extra Place” race meaning Betfred is offering punters the chance to win bigger as three places are being paid out instead of two.
Seven horses compete in the six-furlong contest and one to look out for is four-time winner Judge Head (6/4), who was beaten by a head in his latest outing at Thistledown, though Ohio Player (9/2) could be a contender and he is having a first run for a new stable.
Next up is a trip north of the border to Canada where there are eight races running from 18:05-21:21 at Fort Erie and the 19:29 Claiming offers another opportunity for betters to win with three places.
Finger Lakes comes next with a nine-race card scheduled for between 18:10-21:46, with the 20:52 Allowance Optional Claiming, run over a mile, another chance to win with three places.
Mountaineer brings Monday’s action to a close with eight races going between 00:00-02:55.
