It’s a bumper day of US racing on Saturday 25th June with meetings from Thistledown, Delaware Park, Gulfstream, Belmont Park, Hawthorne, Emerald Downs, Louisiana Downs, Canterbury Park, Evangeline Downs, Charles Town and Prairie Meadows, while there is also Canadian action from Woodbine.
The first of 12 meetings comes from Thistledown, an 11-race card that runs from 17:00 until 22:35, before the attention then swings over to Delaware Park for an eight-race offering (17:30-21:00).
The opener at Delaware is one of two races covered by the extra place promotion – the 20:00 being the other – and Proud Civilian (SP) could be one to watch out for in the 17:30 with form figures of 23.
Next up is Gulfstream’s bumper 12-race card, the action going from 17:31 until 23:20, and there are extra places to take advantage of in the 18:05, 18:35, 19:39, 21:48 and the 22:50.
It’s off to Belmont Park next for 10 races, the opener scheduled for 18:01 and the finale set for 22:44, and there are once again extra place to utilise in the 18:32 and the 19:34 – in which the Jose Lezcano-ridden Lady Yellen (9/4 fav) is expected to challenge.
The focus then turns towards the sole meeting in Canada, a 10-race affair from Woodbine (18:10-23:02), and both the 20:56 and the 22:31 have the added bonus of the extra place promotion.
It’s back to US soil next for Hawthorne’s 10-race spectacle (20:50-01:06) before the focus then turns towards the eight races on offer at Louisiana Downs from 22:15 until 01:03.
There are then nine races taking place at Canterbury Park, the action going from 23:10 until 03:10, while there is an eight-race card taking place at Evangeline Downs (23:30-02:40).
Saturday’s penultimate meeting comes from Charles Town, with the first of nine races going off at 00:00 and the finale set for 04:02, before the action concludes with no less than 10 races at Prairie Meadows (00:00-03:52).
