It’s a busy start to this week’s racing across the UK and Ireland with meetings from Lingfield, Redcar, Cartmel, Ayr, Windsor and Ballinrobe.
Up first is Lingfield’s seven-race card, the action running from 13:15 until 16:30, and there are extra places to take advantage of in the opener and the 15:55, while the ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion covers the 13:50.
Simply Sondheim is the only last-time-out winner in the 11-runner field in the 13:50 and the William Buick-ridden charge is 4/6 to triumph again, although Elsaab has the highest OR of 62 and will be hoping to challenge at odds of 14/1.
Next on the agenda is an eight-race card from Redcar, the opener set for 13:25 and the finale going off at 17:15, and there are once again extra places being paid out in the 16:05 and the closer.
The attention then swings over to Cartmel’s eight-race offering (13:40-17:30) and punters can make the most of an extra place in the final event in Cumbria – the Women’s Community Matters Mares’ Handicap Hurdle over 3m 1f 83yds.
A field of seven will battle it out for glory and it looks to be a tight affair at the top of the betting, with Tokyo Getaway (5/2), Liffeydale Dreamer (7/2) and Jessiemac (7/2) all expected to put in strong challenges.
It’s off to Ayr next for seven races, the action running from 16:50 until 20:05, while there are the same number of contests taking place in the day’s penultimate meeting at Windsor (17:05-20:15).
The final three races at Windsor – the 19:10, 19:40 and 20:15 – all have the added benefit of an extra place being paid out in them and the latter of that trio could turn out to be a close battle between Chequer Square (7/2) and Eklil (7/2).
Last, but by no means least, Monday’s racing is brought to a conclusion with the sole Irish card of the day – a seven-race affair from Ballinrobe (17:10-20:25).
Extra places are once again on offer – this time in the 18:50, 19:20 and 19:50 – and It’s Time Again (7/2) who could be worth a look in the 19:50 after picking up a victory last time out.
