There are eight US race meetings taking place on Wednesday with plenty of action to look forward to across the pond.
Belterra Park, Canterbury Park, Charles Town, Evangeline Downs, Finger Lakes, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Thistledown, and Will Rogers Downs are the host courses with a grand total of 69 races available for punters to look through.
The first meeting of the evening’s action takes place at Belterra Park where eight races run from 17:35-21:05 before Thistledown takes centre stage with an eight-race card of their own from 17:50-21:20.
In the closing race on the Thistledown card, Mannford is looking to complete a hat-trick and appears to be the one to beat having been installed as the 11/10 favourite, although Crazycantberighted (5/1) is expected to be a challenger, having beaten David Wolochuk’s charge on his last outing in October last year.
Next up is Finger Lakes where nine races are taking place between 18:10-21:46. Four of the races at the New York track – at 18:37, 19:31, 20:25 and 21:19 – offer an extra place, with three being paid out instead of two at 1/5 of the odds.
The last of those at 21:19 looks set to be a cracker with Eight Weeks Long (5/2), Make It In Ny (5/2) and What’s My Category (3/1) disputing favouritism with Mandatory Payout next best at 9/2.
Will Rogers Downs then follows with a busy ten-race card running between 19:00-23:22 before attention switches to Horseshoe Indianapolis for ten more races between 19:30-00:09.
The 22:36 Stakes sees 13 horses take part and Lexi Sun (11/2) will be hoping to be in the mix once again, having won at this track over five furlongs earlier this month, beating today’s rivals No Trust (15/2) and Everything’s Rosy (12/1) in that win.
Canterbury Park stages their eight-race card from 23:10-02:40 with Evangeline Downs racing eight times from 23:30-02:40, before the day’s action is completed by another eight-race affair, this time at Charles Town from 00:00 to 03:17.
