World Snooker odds

We’re underway in the final of the 2022 Betfred World Snooker Championship, as the World’s finest cueists have been whittled down to a last pair to battle it out for glory, the glittering trophy, and a cool £500,000 winners’ cheque.

World number one, six-time World Champion and perceived by many to be the greatest Snooker player of all time, the Rocket Ronnie O’Sullivan (above left), is playing the leader of the next generation, 2019 World Champion and fellow Triple Crown winner Judd Trump (pictured, right), over thirty five frames to determine the world’s best.

Trump has already beaten one legend of the game in Mark Williams in the semi-final, and is relishing the prospect of facing another veteran, a man he grew up watching and admiring, on the greatest stage of all.

The Rocket dispatched John Higgins to book an eighth final appearance, and was looking forward to entertaining the crowd with a player who has a similar playing style.

It is the pair’s second meeting here at the Crucible after Ronnie’s semi-final success over Trump 17-11 back in 2013.

The last fifteen days have been incredible in Sheffield with a maximum break, re-spotted blacks, gripping deciders, and comebacks of unthinkable proportions.

But the feeling is the biggest fireworks are set to sparkle in the next two days in a Bank Holiday blockbuster – and if the first session that went Ronnie’s way (5-3) with a pair of centuries and a re-spotted black is anything to go by, it could be a Crucible Classic over all Crucible Classics. Fingers crossed …..
