We’re down to the last 16 at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play event, as Saturday sees the start of knockout stages.
One of the match-ups of the round is a repeat of the 2021 final, as defending champion Billy Horschel faces fellow countryman Scottie Scheffler.
It’s Scheffler, who beat Matt Fitzpatrick to progress through the group stage, that is the favourite to make the quarter finals. The 25-year-old is 8/11 to win the match, with Horschel available at 11/10.
Another heavyweight clash to look forward to sees US Open champion Jon Rahm go head-to-head with four-time Major winner Brooks Koepka.
The American was one of only five players who won all three of their group matches, while Rahm progressed from Group 1 with a 2-1-0 record.
Veteran Richard Bland is one of the stories of the event so far, with the 49-year-old qualifying from a group that included Lee Westwood, Bryson DeChambeau and Talor Gooch.
Bland, who only won his first DP World Tour title last year, now faces world number 11 Dustin Johnson in the last-16. The Englishman is 2/1 to cause another upset and progress to the quarters, while Johnson is 4/11 to prevail.
The other last-16 matches see Irishman Seamus Power face England’s Tyrrell Hatton, 2019 Kevin Kisner comes up against Adam Scott and there’s an all-American clash between Will Zalatoris and Kevin Na.
The other two games will see Japan’s Takumi Kanaya face Canadian Corey Conners, while Open champion Collin Morikawa takes on Abraham Ancer.
