Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams

We’ve had five of the six Wild Card Weekend fixtures. Now there’s just this SoFi Stadium collision to come late tonight/early hours of Tuesday UK.

Going forward, one of the Cards and the Rams look to join resting top seeds Green Bay and Tennessee, alongside those successful already over the last 48 hours or so. Step forward proudly Cincinnati, Buffalo, Tampa Bay, San Francisco and Kansas City.

All can anticipate next weekend’s Divisional round, hoping to keep their Lombardi dreams alive.

SoFi is where Super Bowl 56 will be held on Feb 13th, so the Rams will have that in the back of their minds. Hey, why not. It worked for the Bucs last term.

Betfred have LA as firm money line favourites, at around 8/15. They are a 3.5 point spread fav, and the total is pitched circa 49.5.

Arizona started the season in a blaze of glory. They’ve been becalmed somewhat, and eventually just lost out in the NFC West title race to ….. the Rams.

LA playmaker Matthew Stafford has had a good first year at QB, after moving from Detroit. He’s added a great deal of quality, as have Odell Beckham Jr and Von Miller.

Stafford can turn it over though – mistakes that can be extra-costly in knockout football.

This is a franchise geared up to winning a Super Bowl. Elite players, carefully gathered at no doubt considerable expense. If they want to make it all the way to that home field SB then of course Arizona must be disposed of right now.

The Cards have the scampering Kyler Murray under centre, and though neither QB has a postseason win between them, they are outstanding individuals.

Wideout DeAndre Hopkins is a big miss for Arizona, while JJ Watt will hope to make it back after a horrible catalogue of injuries.

LA have the brilliant receiver Cooper Kupp, too – what a season he’s having. Stafford gets pretty well protected, and I see him using Kupp and the array of weapons at his disposal to great effect tonight.

The Cards have it all to do in my humble opinion.

Enjoy, and stay safe.
