Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk says his side are ready to put on a show when they take on NFC West rivals Los Angeles Rams on Monday night (Cardinals 10/13, Rams 11/10 – Money Line).
The NFL schedule-makers will be enjoying their work this week as two of the best teams in the league go to battle at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
Arizona (13/2 to win the Super Bowl) currently leads the division thanks to their 10-2 record, and they will receive a bye during week one of the playoffs if they can maintain their current form.
The Rams’ record currently stands at 8-4, and they need a win on Monday to have any realistic chance of climbing above their rivals.
Monday’s encounter gives both teams the chance to impress on a national stage, and Kirk says the Cardinals are ready to put on a show.
He told the Cardinals’ official website: “Primetime. You know you’re the only game on TV; all eyes are on you. It’s a big stage, and obviously, there’s a lot of national recognition that comes with it. It’s just another opportunity for us to take the field and show how good of a team we are.”
Kirk scored two touchdowns and led all receivers in yards the last time the Cardinals played on “Monday Night Football. He stole the headlines in Week 5 in 2020 against Dallas, and fans can back him to score anytime at 9/4.
The Rams are fifth in the NFC playoffs standings, and they come into Monday’s game on the back of a 37-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Sean McVay’s side had lost three games in a row before that, and they will fancy their chances of an upset, having won of their previous matches with the Cardinals.
The Rams will be without Darrell Henderson Jr and Brian Allen for Monday’s game, while Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury will need Justin Pugh and Chase Edmonds to pass fitness tests in order to play.
