There are five UK meetings and one Irish card to look forward to today, with the standout fixture being the International Meeting at Cheltenham.

They get underway at Prestbury Park at 12:05, with the first of seven races, and they conclude with a handicap hurdle contest at15:35.

The Class 1 Racing Post Gold Cup Handicap Chase is due off at 13:50, with 15 runners set to go to post for the 2m 4½f race.

Paul Nicholls’ charge Lalor is expected to go off the favourite (13/2) and it’s worth noting that Betfred are paying five places in this contest.

Meanwhile, there’s also a seven-race card at Doncaster with the first race at Town Moor, a Novices Hurdle, due off at 11:50 with the lucky last set to go at 15:15.

The biggest race of the day at the South Yorkshire track comes at 14:40, with a Grade 2 Juvenile Hurdle over 2m ½f . Jamie Moore will ride Porticello who is expected to be a contender for his one and is available at 10/3.

The other jumps card in the UK is at Hereford, where a seven-race National Hunt card begins at 12:12 and concludes at 15:42.

The day’s two flat-racing meetings are both all-weather cards, with eight races at both Newcastle and Wolverhampton.

Newcastle gets underway at 13:45 and concludes at 17:30, while it’s evening action at Wolverhampton – their opener is at 16:15 with the luck last due off at 19:45.

The lone Irish meeting takes place at Fairyhouse, with an eight-race jumps card at the County Meath track, where the going is Yielding to Soft.

It’s an early start with the first race at 11:30 and they conclude at 15:22. Betfred are offering an extra place in the 14:47 Handicap Hurdle, where the Garvan Donnelly-trained Final Orders is amongst those fancied to go well.
