Leeds Rhinos (8/1 Grand Final Winner) front rower Mikolaj Oledzki says he’s excited by what the future holds for the club after signing a new four-year deal at the Betfred Super League outfit.
A product of the Rhinos’ famous academy system, the 23-year-old made his first-team debut back in 2017 and has gone on to make 82 appearances for the West Yorkshire outfit.
Oledzki’s efforts at Headingley have not gone unnoticed and the youngster was handed his first England cap by head coach Shaun Wane in the Autumn victory over France across the Channel.
Now with his future secured at Leeds, Oledzki is looking forward to seeing what success the squad can achieve over the coming seasons.
“I am really happy to have got the deal over the line however the decision was pretty easy for me,” he told the club’s official website. “For the last few years, I’ve really enjoyed going through the process we have been through as our squad has transitioned.
“We have signed a lot of great players to compliment the young lads coming through and I’ve really enjoyed being part of that building process. I’ve been here since I was a junior. I’ve really enjoyed my time and am really excited about what the next four years will bring.”
The Rhinos, who suffered a play-off semi-final defeat at the hands of eventual winners St Helens last season, will kick-start the new Betfred Super League campaign on February 12 when they host Warrington Wolves at Headingley (Leeds 11/10, draw 22/1, Warrington 8/11 – Match Betting).
