There is another busy day of action coming up this Saturday on both sides of the Irish Sea with meetings coming up from Newcastle, Doncaster, Newbury and Wolverhampton in the UK, along with Irish fare from Fairyhouse, although the meeting at Bangor-On-Dee has been abandoned due to high winds.
It is in Ireland where things kick off with an eight-race card from Fairyhouse opening up at 11.30, running through until the finale at 15:21.
Betfred are running their “Extra Place” promotion in the second and third races at 12:00 and 12:30 respectively as well as the sixth race at 14:11.
Newcastle kicks off proceedings in the UK with the first of seven races set to get underway at 11:45, running through until the highlight of the card, the Fighting Fifth Hurdle, as the finale at 15:15.
Nicky Henderson’s defending champion Epatante is the 6/4 favourite to land the big prize, but the mare appears set for a challenge from Paul Nicholls’ Monmiral, priced up at 7/4, with Sceau Royal next best at 7/1.
Betfred are also offering their “Extra Place” promotion in the fifth race on the card at 14:05, with four places paid out at 1/5 of the odds.
Doncaster is next underway with a seven-race card opening up at 12:05, running through until the closing race at 15:28, with Betfred’s “Free Bet if 2nd” promotion being offered in the opening contest.
The second day of Newbury’s Winter Carnival will be the next port of call with their quality seven-race card beginning at 12:10, with the finale set to go off at 15:35.
The highlight of the the card is the Ladbrokes Trophy Chase with 21 runners set to go to post at 15:00 and Betfred are offering a “Super Extra Place Race” promotion with six places being paid out at 1/5 of the odds.
Henry De Bromhead appears to hold the ace hand with Eklat De Rire installed as the 7/2 favourite, although Rachael Blackmore’s mount is expected to be challenged by Ontheropes at 13/2, with Enrilo also at 13/2 and Fiddlerontheroof at 15/2.
There is also the “Extra Place” promotion offered in races three and seven at 13:15 and 15:35 respectively with four places being paid out at 1/5 of the odds.
And last but by no means least, racing continues through the evening on an eight-race card at Wolverhampton, with the runners set to go to post for the opener at 16:00, with the meeting completed at 19:30.
There is a “Free Bet if 2nd” promotion in the first race at 16:00, while an “Extra Place” is being offered in the sixth race at 18:30, with three places paid out at 1/5 of the odds.
