The 2022 Betfred Super League season will begin with a repeat of the 2021 Grand Final as reigning champions St Helens play host to Catalans Dragons (6/1 – Grand Final Winner) on February 10, while Toulouse Olympique XIII make their competition debut at home to Huddersfield Giants.
The Saints, who are 2/1 favourites to become the first team to win the Grand Final four years in a row, edged past Catalans 12-10 in the Manchester showpiece, and the duo will lock horns in the opening match of 2022.
Elsewhere, Toulouse, who defeated Featherstone Rovers 34-12 in the Million Pound Game to secure their place in the Betfred Super League for the first time, begin with a home clash against Huddersfield on February 12 (Toulouse 6/4, Draw 22/1, Huddersfield 8/15 – Match Betting).
On February 11, Castleford Tigers take on Salford Red Devils, and Hull KR go up against Wigan Warriors, while Leeds Rhinos face off against Warrington Wolves in the early game on Saturday 12th.
The final match of the opening set of fixtures, which takes place on February 13th, will see Wakefield taking on Hull FC (Wakefield 13/10, Draw 22/1, Hull FC 8/13 – Match Betting).
The 2022 Grand Final has been brought forward to September 24 due to the World Cup, while St James’ Park has been confirmed as the host venue for Magic Weekend on July 9-10.
St Helens face Wigan in one of the standout Magic Weekend fixtures, while there is also a derby between Hull FC and KR to look forward to.
