NS Mura boss Ante Šimundža has called on his side to be bold and play without fear as they prepare to host Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night (NS Mura 22/1, draw 15/2, Tottenham 1/9 – Match Betting).

Mura come into the encounter against Antonio Conte’s (pictured) side at Fazanerija City Stadium on the back of a disappointing run of form, with the Slovenian outfit failing to win any of their last six outings in all competitions.

With no points to show for their efforts in the Conference League after four games this season, Mura are expected to be up against it, as they host a Spurs side who beat them 5-1 in north London back in September (6/5 Tottenham win and over 3.5 total goals).

Rather than shy away from the task at hand, Šimundža has issued a rallying cry to his players and has called on them to rise to the challenge of facing Conte’s men.

“We have often shown that we can keep up with such competitors,” he told reporters. “The fact is that we have to insist on our standards, pragmatism, diligence and simplicity. Especially in duels we have to be strong and try to surprise them where they least expect it.”

Mura have been boosted by the return of defender Jan Gorenc from injury, however, Luka Bobičanec and Žiga Škoflek are still sidelined with long-term injuries.

Meanwhile Conte is expected to make changes for the visitors for Thursday night’s clash as there are “other players that need game time”.

Spurs are second in group G, three points behind leaders Rennes and one clear of Vitesse Arnhem, while Mura are bottom with no chance of progressing.
