Champions Day will take centre stage at Ascot on Saturday, as the climax to the British Flat racing season highlights what will be a busy day of racing across the UK and Ireland.

All eyes will be on Ascot for the richest meeting on the British racing calendar, with more than £4million set to be paid out in prize money for the six-race card that will take place between 13:25-16:30 and includes four Group 1 contests.

The 15:50 Champion Stakes is the feature race on the card, with Mishriff (15/8 to win race) and Adayar (9/4) appearing the main contenders that will attempt to dethrone defending champion Addeybb (8/1).

There are star names wherever you look at Ascot, with the like of Art Power (4/1) and Dragon Symbol (7/1) running in the Champions Sprint Stakes, Snowfall (4/6) headlining the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes and Palace Pier (7/4) and Baaeed (9/4) set to go head-to-head in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

Betfred will also have plenty of offers available for the card, as they will be paying out an ‘Extra Place’ for the opening two races at 13:25 and 14:00, while the finale, the Balmoral Handicap, will benefit from their ‘Super Extra Place’ promotion which will see them pay out a staggering seven places.

If all that wasn’t enough, this season’s jockeys’ title race will also reach a thrilling conclusion at Ascot, with defending champion Oisin Murphy currently leading William Buick by three wins.

Away from Ascot, and there are six more meetings taking place on Saturday, beginning with Market Rasen’s seven-race card from 13:00-16:25, where the Handicap Chase at 15:20 will benefit from Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion.

Catterick’s seven-race meeting from 13:20-16:50 will also have plenty of Betfred promotions available, with the Handicaps at 14:30, 16:15 and 16:50 benefiting from the ‘Extra Place’ offer, while the ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion will come into play for the 15:40.

Leopardstown will provide Saturday’s racing from Ireland with eight races from 13:30-17:25, while there will also be afternoon offerings from Ffos Las (13:40-17:40) and Stratford (13:45-17:15), with all three meetings benefiting from a number of Betfred’s promotional offers.

Wolverhampton’ s eight-race evening card will then round off the day from 17:00-20:30, with the opening three races there all set to benefit from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer, while the ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion will be available for the final race of the night.
