The Premier League is back – hallelujah!

And we’re happier than most, after our international break treble last week was a disaster.

So let’s rejoice as one, as top-flight football returns and let’s hope we can bag our second treble of the season this week!

Watford vs Liverpool

Our first pick comes from Vicarage Road in the early kick-off between Watford and Liverpool.

The Hornets have settled into life back into the Premier League quite nicely so far, picking up two wins and a draw in their opening seven games. Meanwhile, Liverpool have looked excellent and are still yet to taste defeat.

This is probably the worst possible fixture for new gaffer Claudio Ranieri – especially as Mo Salah can’t seem to stop scoring at the minute. And his goal against Manchester City before the international break…wow.

Anyway – Liverpool win in this one at 4/11.

Aston Villa vs Wolves

Our next pick comes from the 3pm kick-off at Villa Park as Aston Villa host Wolves.

There was little time for Dean Smith and his side to bask in the jubilation of beating Manchester United on their own turf last month, as Villa were brought crashing back down to earth with a 2-1 defeat to an out-of-sorts Spurs before the international break.

Villa have notched up seven points from their first three fixtures at Villa Park this term, suggesting they prefer playing on their own patch rather than on the road.

Wolves come into this one in decent form themselves – they’ve won three of their last four Premier League games to rise to 12th in the table after a shaky start.

We’re leaning towards a Villa win at 5/4, with the good form they’ve shown at home so far this season.

Southampton vs Leeds United

Our final pick comes from St. Mary’s as Southampton take on Leeds.

Leeds are looking to make it back-to-back wins in this one, while Southampton are still yet to record a win this campaign. That doesn’t tell the whole story, however as the Saints have put in some impressive displays.

Southampton have actually lost their last three games against Leeds in all competitions, though, including both Premier League meetings between the two teams last term, and they have not overcome the Whites on home soil since August 2011 in the second tier of English football.

Both sides play open, expansive football, so it should be a cracker. We’re fancy a Leeds win at 2/1.

Summary

Liverpool to beat Watford

Aston Villa to beat Wolves

Leeds to beat Southampton

Trader’s special price for the treble – 9/1!
