With the Premier League temporarily on hold due to the international break, we’re delving into the lower league’s for this week’s footy treble.

Two goalless stalemates let us down last week, as we had Burnley to beat Norwich and Brighton to beat Arsenal.

Not to worry, as we’re ready to go again – and hopefully land our second treble of the season!

Forest Green Rovers vs Swindon Town

Our first pick comes from the 12pm kick-off between Forest Green and Swindon at The New Lawn Stadium.

Forest Green are the current leaders of League 2 and come into this one in great form. They’ve opened up a four-point lead at the top of the division after an unbeaten run of five games, three of which they won.

The most impressive thing about this run, is that they haven’t conceded during those five games.

Swindon will be a tough test for Rob Edwards’ side, who are unbeaten in their last three, but right now they’ll feel like they can beat anyone.

Forest Green win at 4/5.

Barrow vs Leyton Orient

Our next pick comes from Holker Street as Barrow host Leyton Orient.

An initial slow start for the new manager Mark Cooper saw the Bluebirds win just one of their opening five league fixtures this campaign, but they have since followed that up with three wins from the next five.

Meanwhile, Orient have picked up just one point in their last two league games. However, they did recordĀ  4-0 win over fellow League 2 side Crawley Town in midweek in the EFL Trophy.

That being said, we’re leaning to a Barrow win at 6/4.

Mansfield Town vs Oldham Athletic

Our final pick comes from the One Call Stadium as Mansfield face Oldham.

An early relegation six-pointer this feels like, as one place separates the struggling sides in the table.

After winning back-to-back games at home to Bristol Rovers and Newport County to begin the new campaign, Mansfield have struggled, only picking up three points since then.

However, Oldham head to the One Call Stadium on Saturday in a somehow poorer state than their hosts.

Losing the opening four league games to start the new season proved to be a sign of things to come for the Latics, with just two league wins and a single draw to show for their efforts in the opening 10 matches.

We think home advantage could prove to be decisive, so we’re going for a Mansfield win at 10/11.
