St Helens pair Lachlan Coote and Kevin Naiqama are determined to land a third Betfred Super League Grand Final win before moving on to pastures new this winter (Catalans Dragons 13/5, draw 22/1, St Helens 2/5 – Match Winner 80 minutes).
Coote and Naiqama helped Saints win back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2020, and now all the focus is on securing what would be a hat-trick of league titles with victory over Catalans Dragons at Old Trafford on Saturday.
A new chapter at fellow Betfred Super League outfit Hull KR awaits Scotland international Coote, while Naiqama will head back to his native Australia after the weekend’s showpiece event in Manchester.
Coote (14/1 first tryscorer) is relishing the prospect of another run out at Old Trafford and is determined to finish his successful spell at Saints with another Super League ring.
“It would be unreal to finish on a high at Old Trafford,” Coote said. “Last year didn’t really feel like a Grand Final but I’m sure this year it’s going to be back to the old ways.
“Either way, it’s going to be the end of an era for me so it’s going to be really emotional.”
Naiqama (12/1 first tryscorer) will return Down Under to be reunited with his family in Australia, and the 32-year-old is ready to put in one last shift.
He said: “I’m grateful for my time here and looking forward to putting in one last big performance.”
