It’s Vitality T20 Blast Finals day on Saturday, with both semis and the big one taking place at Edgbaston, with the action set to get underway from 11am.
It seems strange that all four sides came through the South Group but it will be Hampshire Hawks (3/1 Tournament Outright), Somerset (9/4), Kent Spitfires (11/4) and Sussex Sharks (5/2) bidding for glory in Birmingham, with the final set to take place from 18:45.
Who plays in the evening has yet to be decided, with Hampshire against Somerset first up at 11:00 (Match Betting – Somerset 4/6, Hampshire 13/10).
The pair finished fourth and second, respectively, and the former caused a big upset in the quarters, beating North Group winners and defending champions Notts Outlaws by two runs.
Meanwhile, an unbeaten 78 from Tom Abell (3/1 Somerset Top Run Scorer) saw Somerset to a seven-wicket win over Lancashire Lightning to keep them on track for a second title.
Of course, these two are familiar foes, meeting twice in the South Group, taking a win each. However, Hants are capable of causing an upset having won their last six matches and could be tough to get past.
Then at 14:30, Kent take on Sussex Sharks with the former arguably being the team to beat after topping the South Group (Match Betting – Sussex 8/11. Kent 11/10).
However, Sam Billings (pictured) side were unbeaten against the Sharks during the pool stages, beating them by four wickets at Canterbury, before the return match at Hove was washed out.
Getting off to a good start could be key here, with openers Zak Crawley (9/4 Kent Top Run Scorer) and Daniel Bell-Drummond matching up against Luke Wright and Phil Salt.
That said, Sussex’s relatively depleted bowling line-up could also prove decisive, with neither Rashid Khan nor Jofra Archer available.
Kent have been the team to watch for much of this season and it could be argued that it would be fitting to see them both edge their semi and take the final.
