There is plenty of midweek racing to look forward to across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday, with meetings to come from Bath, Sligo, Brighton, Pontefract, Yarmouth and Kempton.
A trip to Somerset will begin the day’s racing, with Bath set to showcase seven races from 13:00-16:30, while the sole offering from Ireland will see Sligo play host to a seven-race card from 13:15-16:37.
The handicaps at 13:45, 16:02 and 16:37 from Sligo are particularly worth keeping an eye on, as Betfred’s Extra Place promotion will be on offer for all three of those races.
There will also be an afternoon card from Brighton that goes between 13:52-17:20.
The Class Four Wainwright Brighton Mile Challenge Handicap is perhaps the pick of the races from Brighton and Mercurius Power (10/3) could well be the horse to beat for trainer Andrew Balding following his maiden victory over the same distance at Chepstow on his last start.
The final afternoon meeting will get underway from Pontefract, with the seven-race card at the West Yorkshire track set to take place between 14:00-17:30, with the penultimate race, the 16:55 handicap, being another that will benefit from Betfred’s Extra Place promotion.
There will also be promotions on offer at Yarmouth’s evening card, as all seven races from the east coast venue will benefit from Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd to SP Fav’ offer.
The Class Four handicap at 19:15 is one to particularly look out for from Yarmouth, as Sweet Enough (11/8) looks well placed to make a winning start on his handicap bow after comfortably winning a maiden at Newmarket last month.
Kempton will then round off Wednesday’s racing action with an eight-race card from 17:25-21:00, with Betfred’s Extra Place offer once again coming into play for the opener from the Middlesex track.
