There is plenty of racing to look forward to across the United States and Canada on Tuesday, with meetings to come from Belterra Park, Thistledown, Finger Lakes, Colonial Downs, Louisiana Downs, Fort Erie, Penn National, Canterbury Park and Mountaineer.
The opening two cards of the day will both come from Ohio, with Belterra Park showcasing eight races from 17:35-21:06, while the eight-race card from Thistledown will go from 17:50-21:20.
New York’s sole offering of the day will be a nine-race meeting from Finger Lakes, between 18:10 and 22:02, with the penultimate race on the card, the 21:34 Allowance Optional Claiming, set to benefit from Betfred paying out an extra place.
Run For Boston (10/1) could well be the horse to beat in that race after he returned to form over track and trip last time out, while he will also be chasing his sixth career victory.
In Virginia, Colonial Downs will take centre stage for a nine-race card from 18:45 until 22:29, while further south, Louisiana Downs will be the venue for seven races from 20:45-23:21.
The 22:55 Allowance from Louisiana Downs could prove the highlight of the card, as Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion will be on offer, with Staythirstymyamigo (2/1) looking a leading contender in that one after only going down by a neck at the same venue last month.
The sole offering of the day from Canada will be Fort Erie’s eight-race meeting from 21:00-00:16, while back on US soil, Penn National will be the venue for eight races from 23:00-02:10.
Canterbury Park will showcase the penultimate card of the day, with a bumper 12 races set to take place at the Minnesota track between 23:10-04:40, while in West Virginia, Mountaineer’s eight races will go from midnight through until 02:55.
