There is plenty of racing to look forward to across the US on Sunday, with a total of eight meetings taking place at Pimlico, Gulfstream, Belmont Park, Lone Star, Santa Anita, Golden Gate Fields, Prairie Meadows and Mountaineer.

The action begins with an eight-race card from Pimlico that goes from 17:40-21:32, with the 19:52 Starter Optional Claiming from the Baltimore track benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion.

Ribbons And Medals (13/2 Race Winner) looks like being a leading contender for trainer Michael Trombetta, as he already has three top-two finishes to his name this year, including his victory at Penn National last time out.

Attention then turns to Florida where Gulfstream will play host to 11 races from 17:50-23:12, while further north in New York, Belmont Park will be the venue for a nine-race card from 18:00-22:23.

Texas will be our next port of call, with a 10-race meeting from Lone Star getting underway at 20:35 and reaching a conclusion at 00:47.

The 23:51 Allowance Optional Claiming from Lone Star will benefit from Betfred paying out an extra place and Patriot Drive (SP Race Winner) could go well after finishing a credible third despite being forced wide during his most recent showing at Turf Paradise in April.

Focus then heads to California for a nine-race card from Santa Anita that goes from 21:00-01:26, while we will remain in the Golden State for a further nine races from Golden Gate Fields from 21:20-01:42.

The penultimate meeting of the day comes from Prairie Meadows, with the first of eight races from the Iowa track getting underway at 22:00 before the finale at 01:07.

Mountaineer will then round off the day’s action with a nine-race card that goes from midnight through until 02:56.
