It’s another busy Thursday of US horse racing with seven meetings taking place, including an eight-race card from Belmont Park.
Sky Sports Racing will show the action from Belmont, Gulfstream Park and Keeneland, while there is action from Lone Star, Pimlico, Remington Park and Turf Paradise as well.
It all gets underway at 17:40 at Pimlico, where there are 10 races in total from the Maryland track, including the 22:04, which is one of Betfred’s ‘Free Bet If 2nd’ promotional contests today.
At Belmont they start at 18:00 and there are eight races, including the 21:09 in which Aunt Kat (7/4) appears to have major claims.
William Mott’s four-year-old has shown plenty of improvement during three starts so far at Aqueduct and, last time out, won well over this trip by nine-and-three-quarter lengths.
Keeneland’s meet starts at 18:05 and runs until 22:30 after nine races, while the nine races at Gulfstream get underway just afterwards at 18:10 but Thursday’s event finishes up slightly earlier at 22:23.
In the 20:51 at Keeneland, How Ironic (SP) did well enough when stepped up to Grade 2 company last time. Sent off then as a complete outsider at 50/1, she was only four-and-a-half lengths back when coming in eighth and this is a much easier task on paper.
Turf Paradise starts at 21:25 and there are eight races in total with the finale at 00:55 while Remington (00:00-04:46) and Lone Star’s (00:35-04:21) meetings go on well into Friday morning.
