UK and Irish racing fans have six meetings to look forward to on Thursday, with the first race coming from Warwick at 13:00 and the action running all the way through until Exeter’s final contest at 19:55.
It’s Jumps action at Warwick, with seven races all the way up until the closer at 16:15. The first Flat meeting comes from Beverley and they go off eight times in East Yorkshire between 13:10 and 17:00.
Both the 14:40 and 15:50 carry Betfred’s Extra Place offer and the first of those sees Ghost Rider lead the betting at 9/4. A winner at both Southwell and Newcastle to make it two wins from four runs, he was well beaten earlier this month at Gosforth Park but Mark Johnston clearly sees something ahead of his turf debut here.
There are another eight races over the Jumps at Perth from 13:20 to 17:10 and Betfred again offer their Extra Place, this time on the 13:50 and the 15:30.
Gavin Cromwell’s Ensel Du Perche and Noel Kelly’s Wake The Giant are both up in the betting at 9/2 for the 13:50 but there is also a feeling that Brian Ellison’s Largy Mouth could offer something.
Fourth in a maiden at Southwell last month, the suggestion is the six-year-old has more to offer in handicaps and is a value effort at 18/1.
Into the evening for the UK cards and Chelmsford’s all-weather offers seven races from 17:15 up to 20:15, the last here providing another Extra Place.
Second here over slightly further than this seven-furlong trip three weeks ago, Glenn Coco comes back for more at 9/4 but will need to take out course winner Commit No Nuisance who broke his maiden with that victory on the first of this month and is 4/1.
There are also six races at Exeter from 17:25 and 19:55 and finally we come to the single Irish fare, which contains eight contests from Kilbeggan, the County Westmeath track holding eight Jumps contests between 14:45 and 18:35.
The Extra Place offer is again present, this time on the 15:55 and the 17:35, a Handicap Hurdle over 3m½f where Ted Walsh will again be looking for 10/3 Pictures Of Home to break his maiden.
