Delhi Capitals meet Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL on Monday.
Monday’s crunch IPL clash sees the Delhi Capitals face Royal Challengers Bangalore, with the winner making certain of a play-off place (Bangalore 4/5, Delhi Evens – IPL Match Betting).
These two teams are currently sat second and third in the standings, going into their final group match – which starts at 2pm UK time.
However, both teams go into the match with confidence dented, with Delhi having lost their last four matches and Bangalore on a three-game losing streak.
Despite beating their opponents earlier this month, it is Delhi in particular that will have bounce back stronger, after being soundly beaten in their previous two outings.
The Capitals, who are 4/1 to be crowned 2020 IPL champions, suffered an 88-run defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad last week, which hit their net run-rate, before a nine-wicket loss to table-toppers Mumbai Indians.
The main concern for Ricky Ponting’s men will be their struggles with the bat in recent games, having failed to score over 135 runs in their last three matches.
In contrast, RCB’s defeats have generally been by narrower margins – baring a bad day at the office against the Sunrisers on Saturday.
They also have the big-game players that can prove a difference in such a crucial game, with Virat Kohli (5/2 Top RCB Run Scorer Boost), Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers – who already has four 50s to his name – having all performed at the highest level.
Their bowling attack has also impressed through the tournament, with Shivam Dube and Chris Morris (5/2 RCB Top Wicket Taker) both in the top five of the bowling averages.
