The Los Angeles Lakers are one victory away from advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010
The Lakers ran out 114-108 winners in Game 4 of their Western Conference Finals series with the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.
All they need to do now, is win Game 5 and they’ll be facing either the Boston Celtics or the Miami Heat in the Finals for the 2019/20 NBA Championship.
Anthony Davis (below) scored 34 points, and LeBron James (pictured above) added 26 to ensure that Los Angeles never lost the lead in the final three quarters of the game.
Jamal Murray has been in sensational form during this series, and he scored 32 points for the Nuggets, but he missed all three of his three-point attempts, which proved costly in the end.
The Lakers led each of their previous two series 3-1 before closing out the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets on their first opportunity to advance. Meanwhile, the Nuggets find themselves in familiar territory facing a 3-1 deficit – they also trailed the Utah Jazz and LA Clippers 3-1 in their first two playoff rounds. Could we see another remarkable turnaround by Denver?
Tonight, the Miami Heat can book their place in the Finals if they beat the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their Easter Conference series.
Tyler Herro scored a rookie-record 37 points in Game 4 to lead the Heat to a 3-1 series lead. Will he be the difference in Game 5?
