There’s another five racing fixtures across the UK and Ireland on Saturday, with the standout card being the final day of this year’s Royal Ascot meeting.

The Berkshire track holds no fewer than three Group 1 races across the afternoon – the Coronation Stakes, St James’s Palace Stakes and the Diamond Jubilee Stakes. There’s eight races on the card, starting at 12:40 with the last race off at 16:40 – the going is Good and Good to Soft, Good in places on the Round Course.

The Coronation Stakes is due off at 14:25, with seven fillies set to go to post and Roger Charlton’s Quadrilateral is expected to go off the favourite, currently priced at 11/4.

The three-year-old could only finish third at the 1000 Guineas two weeks ago, but many expect a response this afternoon – especially if tested by Frankie Dettori’s mount Alpine Star (3/1).

Then at 15:00 it’s the turn of the colts, in the St James’s Palace Stakes, as 13/8 favourite Pinatubo looks to bounce back after finishing third in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Charlie Appleby’s charge, who had been unbeaten in six runs prior to the defeat at HQ, faces six rivals including Aidan O’Brien’s Wichita (9/4), who finished second at Newmarket.

The Diamond Jubilee Stakes is due off next at 15:35 and there could be another big race success for Frankie, who will be on board Sceptical.

James Doyle rode last year’s winner, Blue Point, and this year will be on board One Master for trainer William Haggas.

Newmarket also hosts an eight-race flat card on Saturday afternoon, starting at 12:30 and concluding at 16:25 – with the going classed as Good.

There are also two evening cards in the UK, at Kempton and Ripon.

Kempton’s eight-race meeting is on the polytrack – with the going Standard / Slow ahead of the first race at 16:50, with the last due off at 20:25.

Meanwhile, Ripon offers a bumper nine-race card – starting at 16:30 and concluding at 20:40 – and the going is Good to Soft at the North Yorkshire track.

The solo meeting in Ireland is an afternoon card at Naas, where the going is Good (Good to Yielding in places). The opening race is off at 14:00 and they concluded with a Class 1 5f sprint at 17:45.
